Pace Publishing Releases New Book on Robert Nava

The first monograph on the artist.

Last month, Robert Nava concluded his first UK exhibition with a dynamic suite of paintings at Pace’s Hanover Square location in London. For those of you who couldn’t attend in person, the gallery is set to release a sumptuous art book cataloging the experience.

The eponymously titled publication is the first monograph on the artist and features a striking typographic cover that opens to 144 pages of analysis, including 80 color illustrations. Nava completed this latest body of work over a two-year span by freeing himself from any referential meaning and allowing his childlike curiosity to take over. The resulting artwork is some of his largest paintings to date and features an array of mythological creatures that were unearthed from the far throes of Nava’s imagination.

Robert Nava is a hardcover title and will also feature a foreword by Mark Beasley and a conversation between Nava and fellow artist, Huma Bhabha. The book will release on August 30, but you can pre-order your copy for $45 USD via the Pace Shop and select bookstores around the world.

In related news, Glenn Lutz released a book examining Black masculinity, identity and mental well-being.
