Gagosian Opens New Boutique in the Heart of London

Featuring an array of rare books, editions, apparel and more.

Gagosian is currently playing host to a number of intriguing exhibitions across its New York outposts, including the paintings of Iranian artist Mehdi Ghadyanloo and Awol Erizku’s exploration of the sphinx.

As a constant publisher of well-crafted art books, the gallery expanded its retail offerings by opening The Gagosian Boutique in the heart of London. Located in the upscale Mayfair district at the historic Burlington Arcade, the shop features an array of offerings, including prints and editions, Gagosian publications, rare books, exhibition posters, and artist-designed objects and apparel such as jewellery, sculpture, and decorative items.

To coincide with the opening, Gagosian will spotlight the work of legendary abstract artist Cy Twombly, along with celebrating the fifth anniversary of the print and online publication, Gagosian Quarterly. Additionally, on the upper levels of the space, visitors can experience a rotation of small exhibitions, artist takeovers, and unique collaborations.

The Gagosian Boutique is designed by the Sterling Prize-winning architecture firm, Caruso St John Architects and joins similar retail locations on Madison Avenue in New York, along with Gagosian’s recently relaunched online shop.

In related news, France and Spain announced a monumental series of exhibitions to honor the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso’s death.
