WERK Magazine's Latest Issue Highlights THE SHOPHOUSE's "Cityscape Resolution – Hong Kong by YOSHIROTTEN"

Issue 29 is designed by Theseus Chan and examines the reworked imagery of Daido Moriyama and Wing Shya.

Accompanying its current “Cityscape Resolution – Hong Kong by YOSHIROTTEN” exhibition, Hong Kong creative space THE SHOPHOUSE and Werk Magazine have come together for an evocative feature.

Designed by Theseus Chan, “WERK No.29: THE SHOPHOUSE with YOSHIROTTEN” focuses on the reworked imagery of Daido Moriyama and Wing Shya from Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN. Serving as an extemporization in book design, the edition features intense inking, set-offs and strikethroughs for a visual expression that expresses the collaborative works. The combination of the artist’s industrial and handmade physical manifestation offers viewers a faithful view of the takes on Daido Moriyama’s “NEW SHINJUKU” series and scenes captured by Wing Shya.

WERK No.29: THE SHOPHOUSE with YOSHIROTTEN features 160 pages, saddle-stitched together, with 500 first edition hand-numbered copies.

Priced at $90 USD, WERK No.29: THE SHOPHOUSE with YOSHIROTTEN will see an exclusive launch at BELOWGROUND and will be available via WERK Magazine.
