Hauser & Wirth Keeps You Warm in These Cashmere Artist Blankets

Featuring the work of Louise Bourgeois, Max Bill, Lorna Simpson and more.

Although the spring season officially started earlier this month, it’s still winter in many parts of the world. Some places way more than others. To keep you cosy, Hauser & Wirth worked with a number of leading artist foundations to create a series of cashmere blankets featuring work from seminal figures from the past century.

Each blanket is expertly crafted in Scotland and features work from Louise Bourgeois, Lorna Simpson, Luchita Hurtado, Philip Guston, Arshile Gorky, Eva Hesse, Lee Lozano, Mary Heilmann and Max Bill. Speaking on the latter, the gallery just concluded a joint exhibition on the creative crossover between Bill and Belgian artist Georges Vantongerloo.

Made in conjunction with Scottish studio ROAM, the annual initiative strives to support local heritage and artisan enterprises. Sizes and prices vary from $180 to $1800 USD. Each comes with a unique canvas carrying bag and are available to purchase at Hauser & Wirth’s webshop.

Elsewhere in art, Molly Bounds reflects on the anxiety of choice in her new paintings.
