2022 is off to a roaring start for Avant Arte, who is set to release a number of creative collaborations, including works by Tomoo Gokita, Tomás Sánchez and Roby Dwi Antono. You can add a multimode collaboration between DRx (Darren Romanelli), NEIGHBORHOOD’s SRL, and CRamics to the list.

The Cactus Man Vessel comprises of a vinyl figure complete with a removable mask, hands and apron, along with a fired stoneware vessel crafted by CRamics. According to a statement by Avant Arte, the collaboration aims to connect the eclectic subcultures attached to “collecting, cactus cultivation and botany at large.”

Characteristic to Romanelli’s past work, the sculpture lies between the threshold of high and low-brow culture — where the art questions how said categories have been defined to begin with. Due to the hand-made nature of the vessel, sizes will vary, while the shirt will ship to customers in a large. Darren Romanelli’s Cactus Man Vessel will be available to purchase for $1,041 USD on February 7 at 9am EST.
