Daniel Arsham to Release 'Eroded Carrera RS' Sculptures

500 limited edition pieces based on the classic 1973 Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 Touring.

Following the reveal of an Eroded 911 Turbo in September of last year, Daniel Arsham is now releasing an Eroded Carrera RS model car based on the classic 1973 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring as part of his ongoing ongoing Future Relic series. Arsham describes the upcoming sports car piece as “one of my favorite vehicles and one of the most beautiful and raw expressions of the Porsche 911 with my alterations.”

The clay grey Eroded Carrera RS is adorned in Arsham’s signature crystal erosion technique and consists of a combination of resin, plaster, and aluminum oxide. The artist’s name is found on the “Arsham RS” license plate and a plaque on the underbelly. Only 500 pieces will be produced with each sculpture measuring 201 mm in length and 2.8kg in weight.

The model sports car is housed in a similarly colored box with eroded “Carrera” font, racing lines, and Arsham motifs on the exterior. Upon opening, a sketch of the Eroded Carrera RS is seen on the inner lid along with the product specifications on the lateral side. A pair of Arsham Studio art handling gloves and an Arshams Editions holographic verification label comes with the package.

Arsham’s eroded Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS will release September 10 at 12 p.m. ET on the Daniel Arsham online shop.
