Tristan Eaton Unveils 25 Year Retrospective at the Long Beach Museum of Art

The artist’s first solo museum exhibition.

Tristan Eaton’s 25 year career is finally getting the retrospective it deserves. Tristan Eaton: All At Once is the artist’s first solo museum show and is on view now at the Long Beach Museum of Art.

For those unfamiliar, you have surely seen the Los Angeles-native’s work in some capacity. Whether it be the mind-bending murals that have graced walls across the world, illustrations made for the Super Bowl, co-founding legendary toy brand Kidrobot or countless designs made for clients that range from Hublot to Nike.

Eaton’s resume is nothing short of impressive — along with having work at the permanent collection at MOMA, he is among a select group of artists with Marvel Universe licensing and has designed plates that were launched into orbit via SpaceX. The latter artwork is just one of the many pieces on display at his new retrospective.

In addition to the paintings and sculptures on display, there is also an interactive installations that invites the audience to spin a mural that has been divided into 12 perfectly aligned squares.

Tristan Eaton: All At Once is on view at the Long Beach Museum of Art until October 3.

Elsewhere in art, Michael Dotson suspends time in new exhibition at Los Angeles’ Over the Influence gallery.
