Former Amoeba Location to Host the “Immersive Van Gogh Exhibition” in Los Angeles
Running from July 31 to January 2022.

Amoeba may have moved a few blocks down to Hollywood Boulevard, but the artistic charm of the building continues as the space plays host to the “Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit Los Angeles.” Having shown critical success since it first appeared as a cameo in Emily in Paris, the touring show has gone on to amaze crowds around the world — most recently in a converted warehouse in East London.
Starting on July 31, 6400 Sunset Boulevard will be transformed into a universe of Van Gogh swatches, such as his famed Starry Night painting, alongside outside work created with the artists’ pastiche in mind. Examples include an installation entitled, “Letters to Vincent,” which features over 1,000 digitally scanned letters Van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo. Other work includes a large scale portrait of the artist, to an AI powered app that will respond to your questions in letter form, as though it were the man himself.
The highlight of the show is undoubtedly a 40-minute video installation, comprising of over 400 Van Gogh images — creating a 360-degree environment that is curated by Italian artist, Massimiliano Siccardi, and overlaid to the classical tunes of composer, Luca Longobardi.
“Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit Los Angeles” is a chance to literally step into the colorful universe of perhaps history’s most overlooked artist. Tickets range from $50 to $100 USD and can be purchased here.
The exhibition runs from July 31 to January 2022.
