Daniel Arsham To Launch 'ERODED DELOREAN' Sculpture Edition

Complete with gull-wing doors.

Daniel Arsham is currently gearing up to launch his “Turning Wrenches” exhibition at Library Street Collective. The forthcoming presentation will highlight the New York-based artist’s full-size replica of his restored 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo alongside automobile artifacts that pays homage to Detroit’s rich automotive history.

The artist continues to flaunt his passion for cars in a new sculpture edition called ERODED DELOREAN. Inspired by the iconic film trilogy, Back to the Future, the edition features a cast object of the vintage vehicle with decayed detailing across its exterior and interior portions. The most notable attribute of the piece is the unmissable gull-wing doors that can lift upwards per the user’s desire.

Each sculpture measures 31 centimeters in length and weighs 2.8 kilograms. The edition is also housed with die-cut foam, sealing label and a pair of white art handling gloves. Only 500 pieces were made for this offering that is set to launch on June 18 at 12 p.m. ET on Daniel Arsham’s website.

Elsewhere in art, James Jean teamed up with sculpture Oskar Zieta on a new edition called NECTAR.
