READYMADE's Yuta Hosokawa Holds First Solo Exhibition at Kaikai Kiki Gallery

From ‘PEANUTS’-themed artworks to Sonic Youth-inspired graphics.

READYMADE‘s Yuta Hosokawa is gearing up to hold his very first art exhibition, to be hosted at Kaikai Kiki Gallery.

The exhibition is called “YES,” and the Japanese designer has made graphics as art pieces, rather than prints on READYMADE clothing. According to official statements, Hosokawa, who’s based in Osaka, worked closely with the Miyoshi factory in Japan to produce the artworks, conducting most of the communication through LINE — there were numerous back-and-forths and iterations made to achieve the final results. Pieces like PEANUTS-themed prints and Sonic Youth-inspired graphics are but a few examples of Hosokawa’s artworks in the upcoming exhibition.

Yuta Hosokawa’s upcoming solo exhibition YES at Kaikai Kiki Gallery will be held from June 8 – 26.
