Felipe Pantone Releases Manipulable 'W3-DIMENSIONAL 2' Sculpture

Arriving in a small edition of 100 with 10 artist proofs.

This past April, Felipe Pantone took part in the EXPO CHICAGO fair. For the presentation, the acclaimed Spanish artist unveiled a selection of manipulable artworks that raised questions on mankind’s dependency on technology. Continuing to expand upon that theme and artistic processes, the artist now returns with a new sculpture edition under his Configurable Art series called W3-DIMENSIONAL 2.

The edition is based on the technical foundations that Pantone developed for his W3-DIMENSIONAL series of works. However, the artist refined his approaches to creating this work that involved UV printing, laser and CNC cutting, automotive lacquers and other materials. With this piece, the artist pushes the boundaries of traditional art techniques while elevating the dynamism of his reoccurring series.

W3-DIMENSIONAL 2 will release in an edition of 100 with 10 artist proofs. Each edition was entirely created and produced at Felipe Pantone’s studio in Valencia, Spain. It will be available for purchase for $2,493 USD apiece starting May 17 at Pantone’s Configurable Art website.

Elsewhere in art, Takashi Murakami will curate this year’s Outsider Art Fair in New York City.
