The sale is themed around a modern collector lifestyle rather than a particular niche.

Auction house Phillips is hosting the second of its cross category INTERSECT themed sales, where lifestyle is the theme, bringing together the works of Banksy and Damien Hirst with the watches of Patek Philippe and FP Journe among others.

The online sale of 115 lots, staged by Phillips Hong Kong, brings together modern art, high jewellery and haute horlogerie in the same space, taking the novel approach of tailoring the auction to the lifestyle of potential clients rather than their specific interests, something Phillips Hong Kong describes as a ’one stop lifestyle concept.’

Alongside high jewellery from the likes of Graff, Chanel and Tiffany & Co are watches such as a single sealed platinum Patek Philippe Ref. 5131/1P world time with cloisonné enamel dial from 2018, est. HK $1,100,000-$1,800,000 ($142,000 USD- $232,000 USD), an F.P. Journe Chronomètre Bleu tantalum, circa 2014, est. HK$ 190,000-350,000 ($24,500 USD – $45,100 USD), a Patek Philippe Ref. 5070G-001 18K white gold chronograph, circa 2002, est. HK$ 260,000-500,000 ($33,500 USD – $64,400 USD), and a Patek Philippe Ref. 3800/1A stainless steel Nautilus, circa 1993, est. HK$ 235,000-390,000 ($30,300 USD – $50,260 USD).

Other watch lots include pieces from Rolex, Panerai, Audemars Piguet and Breguet from the last 90 years.

Among the works of art on offer are Yoshitomo Nara’s Pissed Off!, a 2010 Japanese woodcut depicting his iconic girl character, Wang Guangyi’s 2005 Swatch from his renowned Great Criticism series, Javier Calleja’s All By Yourself #9 from 2017 and Koichi Sato’s El Mariachi.

INTERSECT opens on March 23 via Phillips and closes on March 30.
