Superplastic Launches First Gorillaz Vinyl Art Toy in Over 10 Years

With each member getting their own figurine.

Superplastic, the brainchild of Kidrobot founder Paul Budnitz, has finally launched the first Gorillaz vinyl toy collection in over 10 years. Revered for collaborating with artists and celebs alike on highly sought-after collectible art toys that are known to sell out instantly, the British-virtual band now get their own version.

Having first unveiled the collaboration last year — initially only with the Gorillaz frontman, 2D – the collection now sees the whole band receive a vinyl makeover with 2D even getting a change of clothes and different stance. Inspired by the band’s aesthetics in the Song Machine series from last year, the collection may indicate that Gorillaz are gearing up for a release of the second installment of the album.

Ranging from 9-12 inches in height, the super-soft vinyl toys are currently available for pre-order on the Superplastic website and will be ready to ship between March and April. Prices for individual figures range from $80 USD – $97 USD with the entire collection bundle going for $310 USD.
