Over the Influence Previews Works by John Yuyi Ahead of Paris Photo 2021

Featuring the works ‘All You See Is Me,’ ‘I Lnife You,’ ‘Skin on Skin 3,’ and ‘Smoke Me.’

Over the Influence has just previewed a selection of works from Taiwan-born, New York-based visual artists John Yuyi.

Set to be on display at this year’s Paris Photo 2021 — the largest international art fair dedicated to the photographic medium — Yuyi’s signature theme of the link between body and social networks are on full display. Each of the works uses herself, or rather her flesh, as the canvas where a larger message on intimacy, sensuality, and digital iconography are all intertwined.

Spaning from 2016 to 2019, works like All You See Is Me, I Lnife You, Skin on Skin 3, and Smoke Me will be on exhibit. Those in Paris during November 11 – 14 can visit the exhibition (Sector Curiosa 09) from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. to see the prints.
