After a long hiatus due to COVID, Art Basel Miami is back and perhaps bigger than ever.

Interviews

After a long hiatus due to COVID, Art Basel Miami is back and perhaps bigger than ever. A lot has changed in the art world since the pandemic — most notably the meteoric rise of NFTs. In addition to the paintings, drawings, installations and sculptures on display, there will be a host of hybrid exhibitions that explore the merging of digital and fine art.

As with each edition of the fair, the major galleries will showcase an unrivaled array of masterpieces from history. But that isn’t to count out the newcomers and unexpected occurrences, such as Maurizio Cattelan’s headline-shattering banana installation with Galerie Perrotin at the last in-person event.

This year’s iteration will highlight exhibitions and installations such as Pace digital platform, Pace Verso, Louis Vuitton Objects Nomades Collection, RIMOWA’s “As Seen By” and many more. See our top eight sights to see at the 2021 Art Basel Miami.
