Kenny Scharf Releases “LOOKY” Screenprint With JRP Editions

To complement his recent monograph “MOODZ.”

The last we visited legendary artist, Kenny Scharf, he was working with Parley for the Oceans on a custom set of surfboards with the proceeds benefitting charity.

In conjunction with the Swiss publishing company, JRP Editions, Scharf released a new screenprint titled “LOOKY.” The round shape of the artwork is one the artist is fond of and has recurrently worked within in the past, such as his 2019 Tondo series, which went on view at the “Universalis” exhibition in La Nave Salinas, Ibiza. The round format of the work also bears a striking resemblance to the emoji-based culture that has become the norm in modern communication.

“LOOKY” sizes at 24-inches in diameter and is printed on Mohawk Superfine UltraWhite, 160 lb cover stock. The 15-color screenprint is an edition of 99 is signed and numbered by the artist. “LOOKY” has since sold out but subscribe to JRP Editions newsletter to be aware of the next Tondo print the two will release in the coming months. Additionally, be sure to check out Scharf’s new monograph with the publisher, entitled MOODZ.
