Grimes Joins eBay and Maccarone Gallery for Series of Exclusive Art Drops

Featuring special edition prints, AI-generated poems and more.

Earlier this summer, Grimes launched her first art exhibition titled “Selling Out” at Maccarone Los Angeles and Gallery Platform. Now, the artist and musician has teamed up with eBay and Maccarone for an exclusive series of curated art drops collectively called “A Decade of Grimes.” All of the proceeds will benefit Carbon180, a non-profit organization that uses its partnerships to fight climate change and realize a world that removes more carbon than it emits.

Originally appearing in a digital exhibition, the works represent a retrospective that spans the last 10 years of Grimes’ interests and imagination, spanning various forms of media like drawing, digital prints, photographs and video. The three separate drops will feature new fashion designs and exclusive artworks, as well as a coloring book comprised of 16 original drawings by Grimes and an AI-generated poem.

The first release includes six digital limited edition prints that embody each of Grimes’ albums. Next month, apparel and one-of-a-kind T-shirts designed by Grimes will be available — each item is made of sustainable materials and supports local economies. The last drop will feature special edition prints bearing “failed album covers” that give insight into the process through which an album’s final visuals are realized.

Head to eBay to check out the first art drop from Grimes. The second and third drops are scheduled to take place on October 14 and November 18.
