Haroshi has once again joined forces with the expert wood craftsmen over at Karimoku to release a limited edition Medicom Toy BE@RBRICK. Arriving in a size of 400% or roughly 8-inches tall, the collaborative piece was entirely sculpted by hand using discarded skateboards in varying, colorful woodgrains. Haroshi has long utilized skate decks as his preferred choice of medium to craft his whimsical sculptures that feature diverse subjects ranging from traditional Japanese folklore to western pop culture imagery.

Ralph Nauta and Lonneke Gordijm of Dutch collective DRIFT have recently teamed up with Avant Arte to launch a new light sculpture edition called ANOTHER FUTURE. The minimalist, translucent work was inspired by the “extraordinary architecture” of the dandelion. The artists hand-picked various dandelions, plucked their seeds and then reconstructed them around an LED bulb to create the luminous piece. A total of nine “dandelights” are encased within the plexiglass covering of the piece. The work also includes a USB-C cable and a location-specific plug.

UNDERCOVER is currently taking special orders for a set of embroidered pillows. A total of seven pillows are available to purchase with each one featuring intricate embroidery of the label’s most recognizable motifs. One of the highlights is a red velvet cushion that’s been embroidered with contrasting gold threads to portray the brand’s signature GILAPPLE light.

LA-based artist Matt McCormick returns with a new print edition titled Shall We Go, You And I While We Can. The print portrays the artist’s recognizable Old Western meets contemporary visual elements in the his collage-style approach, featuring a sitting cowboy beside the unmissable Mulholland Drive sign. The print arrives in two sizes: 15” x 17.5” in an edition of 100 and “21 x 24.5” in an edition 20. Both options come signed, numbered and stamped with a studio seal.

MADSTEEZ Kobe Bryant Prints to Benefit Heart of Los Angeles Charity

In honor of Kobe Bryant Day this past Monday, 1xRUN partnered up with NYC-based visual artist MADSTEEZ on an edition of prints featuring the late legendary athlete and his daughter, Gianna Bryant. The print portrays the artist’s large-scale mural at the Yat Sen Intermediate School in New York City’s Chinatown neighborhood. Thirty percent of the proceeds from the sale will directly benefit the Heart of Los Angeles non-profit organization that has launched initiatives dedicated to after-school academic, arts, athletics and wellness programs for underserved youth. The WEENmamba 2:24 prints arrive in 16”, “24” and oversized editions.
