Daniel Arsham Continues Disney and APPortfolio Collab With Gray 'Hollow Mickey'

The other side of the mirror.

Daniel Arsham continues his limited collectible figure offerings with APPortfolio and Disney, this time with a special gray version of Hollow Mickey. One year after the first collaboration, this figure utilizes the same Disney Thru the Mirror-inspired motif and represents the other half of the white version.

The 1936 short animated film Thru the Mirror saw Mickey Mouse pass through a mirror with a sticky like texture. The other side of the mirror was a fever dream-like world where inanimate objects were all alive. The film was largely inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.

This collectible resin art figure is set to release in a limited batch of 500 for a price of $12,800 HKD (approximately $1,650 USD). Those interested can expect it to drop over at the APPortfolio web store at 10 p.m. HKT on July 15.
