All Four Tate Galleries Around the U.K. Will Reopen on July 27

But you’ll have to pre-book a time slot to visit.

Tate has announced that all of its galleries will be reopening on July 27 following the United Kingdom’s COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing.

Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool, and Tate St Ives will be showcasing popular works of art and exhibitions to both the general public and members. Those wishing to go to the galleries will need to pre-book a timed ticket slot online.

All four Tate galleries will have their collection displays on show, as well as works from artists from all around the world. Tate Modern will be exhibiting Andy Warhol and Kara Walker’s Hyundai Commission Fons Americanus, while Tate Britain will still be showing the popular Aubrey Beardsley and Steve McQueen’s installation, Year 3.

At Tate Liverpool, visitors will be able to see new works from Mikhail Karikis, while at Tate St Ives, the gallery will be reopening the Naum Gabo exhibition.

Because of the gallery closures, Tate has modified its program. The Turner’s Modern World showcase and works from Lynette Yiadom-Boaky will open this autumn at Tate Modern, while exhibitions from Zanele Muholi and Bruce Nauman will also open this autumn at Tate Britain. Don McCullin will open this autumn in Liverpool, as will Haegue Yang in St Ives.

For those interested in visiting any of the four Tate galleries from July 27, pre-book your tickets on the Tate website from next week to secure your allotted time slot.
