Superplastic Unveils First Gorillaz Vinyl Art Toy in Over 10 Years

Featuring Jamie Hewlett’s iconic Gorillaz frontman, 2D.

Art toy purveyor, Superplastic, just unveiled a new collaborative figurine with Gorillaz. Inspired by Jamie Hewlett’s iconic Gorillaz frontman, 2D, the 12-inch toy features two-tone shoes, a fat mic, and glowing eyes. Completing the edition is a bespoke collector’s box and batteries to power the LED eyes. The edition is “extremely limited,” Superplastic stated.

“I was out window shopping for the holiday season or something like that, and in one window I saw my reflection. But I looked so much smaller. And it looked like I was singing,” said 2D in regards to the collectible.

Those interested in purchasing a 2D soft vinyl figure should head over to Superplastic’s website and pre-order one for $80 USD. Orders that are placed after April 25 will be shipped by the end of October 2020.
