Thomas Kinkade's Toilet Paper Prints Will Benefit Galleries Impacted by COVID-19

The Kinkade Family Foundation has teamed up with New Art Dealers Alliance.

Following other relief efforts made to aid the art world affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the Kinkade Family Foundation has partnered with New Art Dealers Alliance to support its members and art galleries by releasing prints based on never-before-seen artwork by the late American painter Thomas Kinkade. Playing off the frenzied hoarding that followed self-isolation policies — which unexpectedly caused toilet paper shortages — the foundation has spotlighted Kinkade’s artwork featuring a toilet paper roll.

“Locked away from public view for decades and stored in Thomas Kinkade’s hidden vault, this painting…represents one of the most symbolic items of the COVID-19 crisis: the toilet paper roll,” a statement from the foundation read. Under the new partnership, a limited edition of 100 prints on stretched canvas are made available, along with an open edition of the print and a 100-piece puzzle. For a limited time, 100% of the net proceeds from the sales will be donated to NADA’s fund to support galleries most impacted by COVID-19.

Ranging from $45 to $750 USD, the three versions of Untitled (Toilet Paper) are available now on Kinkade Family Foundation’s online shop.
