KAWS Updates Acute Art App With Free Augmented Reality Drawings

Portraying Companion hands and cartoonish letterforms.

Last month, KAWS teamed up with augmented and virtual reality experts, Acute Art, to launch digitized EXPANDED HOLIDAY sculptures featuring his signature Companion character. This time around, the duo launches new AR drawings featuring the celebrated Brooklyn-based artist’s signature designs. One drawing features an illustrated pair of Companion hands rising from the surface while another piece portrays a textured “KAWS” letterform with cartoonish eyeballs.

“Please update your Acute Art app to receive a few new free AR drawings we just uploaded,” expressed KAWS. “If you haven’t tried it already to can place multiple AR works in one environment at the same time.”

In case you missed it, KAWS recently release limited shaped prints with Free Arts NYC with profits to support charities dedicated to serving underprivileged children in crowded shelters.
