Tom Sachs Will Take Over Isetan Shinjuku for Pop-Up Exhibition

New artworks, furniture, and products from his bricolage practice.

Following his NIKECRAFT Transitions collection, Tom Sachs now returns with a new collaboration with Japan’s Isetan Shinjuku. The American artist will transform the department store’s second floor into a pop-up exhibition space entitled, “Tom Sachs: Retail Experience.”

Sachs will display new bricolage artworks, furniture alongside collaborative products in the store’s 12 windows. One of the highlighted items is a limited edition lunar chess set inspired by the artist’s handmade version in 2010. The presentation is made in partnership with Tokyo’s Tomio Koyama Gallery.

Stay tuned for further details and expect the “Tom Sachs: Retail Experience” to kick off on July 4 at the address below.

In other art collaborations, AllRightsReserved and David Shrigley teamed up on two new editions featuring original sculptures and silkscreen prints.
