DROOL to Release Prints of Emerging Artists Alongside "Solitude" Online Exhibition

Supporting artists during the COVID-19 crisis.

Online gallery for affordable contemporary art DROOL is presenting “Solitude,” a virtual exhibition that utilizes technology to create an immersive environment for people to browse and purchase artwork from their homes. Over the course of the exhibition, new artwork by renowned artists, illustrators and designers will be added to the site, along with accompanying giclée fine art prints.

“Solitude” will open with works by Czech artist Vojtěch Kovařík, Latvian-born artist Valerie Savchits and Chicago-based David Heo. Key pieces on show include Kovařík’s 2018 Hakuho painting featuring a sumo wrestle rendered in a brusque style and Heo’s Vase Study (ORientAL), which showcases the artist’s unique collage-like style of a flattened landscape inhabited by tigers. Other highlights range from Kris Andrew’s abstract Hello Yes work to Savchits’ highly-textural We Still Have Something To Burn About.

The exhibition will go live on DROOL’s website from April 3 to 17. Prints of the featured work will retail from £50 (approx. $62 USD). DROOL will take 0% commission on artwork sales.

Elsewhere, Carpenters Workshop Gallery will launch an online viewing room featuring the works of Studio Drift, Nacho Carbonell and more.
