Matt McCormick Releases Cathartic Edition Print

Titled ‘Somewhere I Can Walk Alone And Leave Myself Behind.’

Installation, film and visual artist Matt McCormick has released an edition print, Somewhere I Can Walk Alone And Leave Myself Behind, a title that nods to Neil Young and Crazy Horse‘s song, “Country Home.”

The print depicts McCormick’s signature cowboy on a horse, his “unofficial symbol of our desire to reconnect with nature” as also seen on the cover of HYPEBEAST Magazine Issue 26: The Rhythms Issue. This time however, the buckaroo is paired with rough strokes of a cactus in red, an emotionally intense color that symbolizes danger and desire; coupled with the artwork’s title in mind, a sense of catharsis is evoked.

The print comes in two sizes: 12×16” which is stamped with an official studio seal at an edition of 100 for $200 USD each, while the 18×24” is stamped and signed by the multi-disciplinary artist himself at edition of 20 for $800 USD each. Additionally, the artwork is giclee printed in Downtown Los Angeles on Moab Entrada Rag Natural Paper for that finessed finish.

Somewhere I Can Walk Alone And Leave Myself Behind will be available to purchase at Matt McCormick’s official website from 12pm PST on February 5, 2020.
