Javier Calleja Unveils Playful 'POT TOP POP' Vase and Flower Pot

Enliven your home with these cartoonish, sculptural heads.

Amid showcasing new paintings and sculptures in NANZUKA’s Tokyo outposts alongside the launch of a Medicom Toy collaboration, Javier Calleja’s continues to elevate his work output in a new collaboration with leading editions purveyor, Case Studyo.

The partnership features sculptural editions of a flower vase and planter pot, under the series titled POT TOP POP, portraying the celebrated Spanish artist’s signature, big-eyed characters. Both pieces will surely enliven your home or office space while imbuing a sense of whimsy. The cartoonish heads arrive in signed and numbered editions of 500 with bespoke encasing and heavy-duty packaging to assure safe shipment.

“The ever-playful artist seized the opportunity to further expand his universe and add a functional dimension to his signature characters. The result is a stunning duo, a pair of best buddies in the form of a flower vase and planter pot. Both characters feature a set of mesmerizing eyes that offer a soothing stare and comforting glance, hypnotizing however looks into them,” said Case Studyo in a statement.

Check out both POT TOP POP editions above and expect an official release on Case Studyo’s website this December 17.

Elsewhere in art, London-based contemporary artist Lakwena transformed a basketball court in Arkansas into a colorful text-based work.
