KAWS Wants You to 'VOTE HIM OUT'

Urging fans to share his new augmented reality artwork with Acute Art.

Last month, KAWS joined over 100 artists and estates in an online-sale of artworks to raise money for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. With Election Day just around the corner, the acclaimed Brooklyn-based artist continues to show his support for Biden through the launch of a new augmented reality artwork with Acute Art.

The interactive, digital artwork called VOTE HIM OUT features three geometric figures with the artist’s signature “XX” eyes and the words “VOTE,” “HIM,” and “OUT” across their bodies. KAWS teamed up with designer and animator Lucas Zanotto to develop the playful yet politically-charged kinetic characters. With this AR work, the artist seemingly aims to encourage eligible voters stateside to go to the polls and vote for Biden to throw President Donald Trump out of office.
