James Jean Focuses on Branches of Imagination in 'The Editor – Night Mode' Limited Print

The latest in series of time-limited releases.

Continuing his series of time-limited releases, visual artist James Jean has revealed his upcoming limited print, The Editor – Night Mode.

Jean’s latest offering builds on his distinct whimsical artistic sensibility and is centered around “The Editor” figure which is depicted pruning the branching narratives of her imagination emerging from a ceramic planter on her lap. The leafy shoots feature pairs of eyes referencing a painting of Saint Lucy, by Francesco del Cossa from the 15th century and accented by a holographic sheen and sculpted in shallow relief.

Measuring 27-3/4 inches tall × 21-1/2 inches wide, the limited edition print has gone through nine passes to carefully retrace the thin, delicate lines and embellish elements with metallic holographic foil. Each print comes marked with James Jean’s signature, numbered and decorated with a new intricately detailed bird embossment with pearl, holographic, and dimensional enhancements.

Priced for $500 USD, look for The Editor – Night Mode giclée print to be available on James Jean’s official website at 8:00 a.m. PDT on January 21 until 7:59 a.m. PDT on January 22.
