Christie’s 100 Sale Features Accessible Works by KAWS, Yayoi Kusama & More

With starting bids at $100 USD.

In an effort to attract new collectors, Christie’s just launched its first auction of the year that features a slew of limited pieces with starting bids of $100 USD. Works by renowned artists such as Yayoi Kusama, KAWS, the late Robert Indiana, among others are featured in the online-only sale.

Highlights from the Christies 100 auction include Kusama’s miniature Yellow Pumpkin and Red Pumpkin (2015) sculptures, KAWS’ Small Lie Companion (2017) figures in multiple tones, and Koons’ Balloon Dog (1995) porcelain edition in red.

“It’s been a goal to introduce a venue like Christie’s 100 ever since I started putting together online sales,” said Christies Post-War and Contemporary Art specialist, Noah Davis. “We settled on the ‘100’ model to keep the sale tightly curated and so that no starting bid would be beyond striking distance for the fullest spectrum of bidders. Establishing this new level of inclusivity means collecting contemporary art has never been easier.”

The auction is open until February 5. Visit Christie’s website to view all of the lots and their current bids.
