Daniel Arsham is set to launch his CRYSTAL RELIC 002 edition this week. The new cast-resin piece was inspired by the silhouette of the original Nintendo Game Boy. From the D-Pad to the power button, Arsham’s take on the handheld console sees its silhouette entirely transparent. Additionally, a matching, removable Super Mario Land cartridge is accompanied by the nostalgic work. The 002 piece will see an edition release of 500 pieces.

In lieu of Paris Fashion Week 2020, Modernica is hosting an exclusive exhibition at the Legacy Store. The week-long showcase features rare archive collaborations from the past decade, with the LA-based furniture purveyor displaying its signature Case Study Furniture® Shell Chairs designed by iconic artists such as Takashi Murakami, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Futura, and Cleon Peterson. Medicom Toy continues its partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation in a new BE@BRICK series. The ubiquitous figures now feature unique mash-ups from Warhol’s Twenty-Five Colored Marilyns which the iconic pop artist made back in 1962. To create the work, Warhol utilized a unique silk-screening technique to manipulate portraits of Marilyn Monroe. This version features a rich sky-blue composition that is predominantly laid atop the BE@RBRICK’s exterior makeup. The figures arrive in 100% and 400% sizes.

Paris-based Galerie Bomma recently announced the official release details surrounding Taku Obata’s Bboy Jiki sculpture edition. The piece stands 17 centimeters high with each mold numbered, dated, and signed by the artist. The drop seemingly marks the celebrated Japanese artist’s first-ever porcelain variant of his ubiquitous Bboy sculptures. Only 10 pieces will be made available at the gallery. Find the address below.
