Rostarr Blends Abtract & Calligraphy Elements In Latest Body of Work

As part of a show in Hong Kong’s WOAW store called “Introspectives.”

The fledgling WOAW store in Hong Kong is set to launch its latest exhibition that will feature a new body of work by New York-based artist, Rostarr. Curated by the store’s owner Kevin Poon, the presentation displays a bold series of abstract-meets-calligraphy paintings made using different materials such as sumi ink, handmade paper, and more. With these pieces, the artist continues to explore themes of self-identity while encouraging viewers to also contemplate their innermost thoughts.

To commemorate the launch of his solo exhibition at WOAW, Rostarr is set to release an edition of signature sculptures. Standing 5.4 inches tall, each collectible figure will come in three different colorways: white, gold, and black. All figures will be available to purchase at the exhibition for $162 USD each at WOAW’s online store. The show is on view until September 20.

In other dynamic presentations abroad, acclaimed digital artist Mad Dog Jones recently launched his first solo exhibition featuring cyberpunk anime works at Tokyo’s Diesel Art Gallery.
