Ben Venom Fuses Folk & Punk Graphics in New Textile Artworks

Handmade quilts and embroidered prints.

Ben Venom is currently displaying his commemorative textile artworks for Black Sabbath at the Midlands Arts Centre. The San Francisco-based artist now returns with original works and prints in partnership with editions seller 1xRUN. The collaborative offering includes a framed embroidered patch of a fence-patterned skull, two handmade quilts, and a framed embroidery. Venom’s fabric compositions feature an untamed mixture of bold lettering nestled among punk, tribal and traditional folk art graphics. Rounding out the execution are atmospheric backdrops in pared down tones.

View the works above and purchase select items on 1xRUN with prices ranging from $50 USD to $6,500 USD. In related stories, take a look at this week’s best art drops.
