Rising Japanese artist MADSAKI launches his anticipated solo exhibition entitled “If I Had a Dream” at Perrotin Hong Kong.

The sprawling presentation displays new original artworks by the Kaikai Kiki artist, with MADSAKI subverting several iconic pieces by Andy Warhol including the pop art legend’s ‘Skull’ 1976 screen-print, ‘Brillo Box (Soap Pads)’ 1964 sculptures, ‘Debbie Harry’ silkscreen ink on canvas painting ‘1980,’ among others. Also included in the show are paintings that pay homage to lauded films in Hong Kong cinema with the artist’s graffiti-ladened interpretations of ‘In the Mood for Love,’ ‘Infernal Affairs,’ ‘Chungking Express’ and ‘Kung Fu Hustle’ to name a few.

Tour the exhibition above and visit Perrotin’s website to learn more. “if I Had a Dream” is on view until August 17.
