Hajime Sorayama & Case Studyo Debut 'The Midas Touch' Sculptural Edition

Limited to 100 pieces with 10 artist proofs.

Hajime Sorayama once again teams up with Case Studyo on a limited edition sculpture entitled ‘The Midas Touch.’ The Japanese artist’s signature ‘Sexy Robot’ subject remains as the muse for the collaborative artwork, this time focusing on the character’s arm and hand raising the middle finger. “The sculpture’s obscene gesture constitutes a small revolt and playfully touches on the fear of an inevitable clash between man and machine,” said Case Studyo in a statement.

Standing 33 centimeters tall, the sculptural edition receives a gold plated porcelain finish and encased in a bespoke wood box with foil print. Each piece arrives signed, numbered, and certified by Sorayama. An edition of 100 with 10 artist proofs will be available for purchase on Case Studyo’s website. Stay tuned for official release details.
