'Basquiat: A Graphic Novel' is a Visual Journey of the Prolific Artist's Whirlwind Life

As told from his perspective and recollections from those who knew him.

Laurence King Publishing is taking a deep dive into the art world with Basquiat: A Graphic Novel.

Penned by Italian illustrator and cartoonist Paolo Parisi, the graphic novel takes a look at Jean-Michel Basquiat’s meteoric rise—from his days tagging New York City with SAMO to appearing in galleries all over the world, and his untimely death in 1988. The story is told from both Basquiat’s perspective and recollections from those who knew him as a person and as a phenomenal artist, including his father, Suzeanne Mallouk, Annina Nosei, Mary Boone and Larry Gagosian.

Basquiat: A Graphic Novel is available for order now on Laurence King Publishing for £14.99 GBP (approx. $19.99 USD).
