Daniel Arsham to Release 'CRYSTAL RELIC 001' Sculpture Edition

The famed New York Yankees cap gets a cast-resin treatment.

Following his collaboration with the International Champions Cup, Daniel Arsham now returns with a special edition sculpture inspired by the iconic New York Yankees cap. Entitled CRYSTAL RELIC 001, the inaugural edition of the NYC-based artist’s latest series was inspired by 18th-century archaeological objects made of crystal, as per a statement sent to HYPEBEAST by Arsham Studio.

Measuring five inches in height with a diameter of 8 inches, the transparent artwork is an exact replica of the real headwear accessory. It was made using cast resin with the piece weighing five pounds. Inside its packaging are metal identification cards and holographic labels that verify its edition number and authenticity.

CRYSTAL RELIC 001 will release in an edition of 500 pieces this April 5th at noon EST on Daniel Arsham’s online shop.
