For this week’s installment: Supreme just unveiled a new collaborative project with Japanese artist Sekintani La Norihiro, APPortfolio is set to launch its “Spanish 5” collection with leading visual artists, Avant Arte teamed up with Caio Guo-Qiang on a special edition print, JJJJound is selling a series of art books at the eBay resale store in Montreal, and Toyqube joined forces with San Francisco-based artist So Youn Lee on her first sculpture edition.

Sekintani La Norihiro x Supreme Spring/Summer 2019 Collaboration

For its latest artist collaboration, Supreme enlisted Japanese artist Sekintani La Norihiro for a psychedelic capsule of apparel and skate decks. Across the collection, Sekintani’s provocative collages of distorted elements and human organs are observed with melting Supreme letterforms to boot. Highlights include a coaches jacket, work shirt, skate pants, and two unique skateboards.

Leading contemporary art purveyor APPortfolio is gearing up to launch a major collaboration featuring sculptural works by Felipe Pantone, Sergio Mora, Samuel Salcedo, PichiAvo, and Okuda San Miguel. The tallest piece is from PichiAvo entitled Hybrid Hero that stands 36 centimeters high with Pantone’s Multistabilistas abstract piece coming in second with a height of 30.8 centimeters. An edition of 200 pieces has been produced for each piece that arrives with a certificate of authenticity.
Caio Guo-Qiang x Avant Arte Ying Yang Peonies Print

Avant Arte joined forces with renowned Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang on a new limited edition print entitled Yin-Yang Peonies. The partnered artwork measures 93cm x 123.7cm, printed using Somerset en Satin 410gsm paper. The visual on the print was inspired by a large-scale work by Guo-Qiang with the process involving his signature, systematic lighting of fireworks on canvas. A total of 50 prints have been made for the edition that will launch on May 1.
JJJJound Art Books at eBay Store in Montreal

JJJJound recently launched his Centre de Commande installation in Montreal that features his Reebok collaboration and collaborative resale store with eBay. In one corner of the retro-inspired space, customers will be able to purchase a slew of art books and vintage office supplies. Highlighted publications include spotlights on the works of Edgar Degas, Renoir, and Pablo Picasso.

So Youn Lee x ToyQube Meteoroid Sculpture

San Francisco-based artist So Youn Lee and toy manufacturer ToyQube have teamed up on a sculpture edition entitled Meteoroid. The polystone-crafted figure stands nearly 13 inches tall and portrays an alien-like character named “Mango.” The surreal subject is a reflection of the artist’s otherworldly aesthetic across paintings, drawings, and mixed-media works that touch upon themes surrounding innocence.
