Louis De Guzman Goes "In Between the Lines" for Upcoming Show in Manila

To reveal detailed works with abstract compositions.

Following his Bart Simpson-inspired Elevate sculpture, Louis De Guzman is now gearing up for an exhibition in Manila, Philippines. The Chicago-based visual artist will debut a new range of paintings at Secret Fresh Gallery for the presentation entitled “In Between The Lines.” For the pieces in the show, De Guzman reimagines “the grey area between the subject matter, colors, and shapes that are signature to his work,” said the artist in a statement.

The Filipino creative is widely-recognized for gathering abstract shapes to create an intricate composition in his paintings. “Serving as a visual metaphor for art consuming De Guzman’s life, and the complexities involved with becoming a full-time artist, In Between The Lines is intended to evoke emotions of self-awareness and confidence in oneself,” he added.

The exhibition will be open to the public starting March 31. The show marks the artist’s first international debut. Stay tuned for details and head over to De Guzman’s website to view more projects.
