This Walking Bicycle Is a Sculptural Work of Art

And functional too.

Evoking the Strandbeest kinetic sculptures of Dutch artist Theo Jansen, California-based creative studio CARV has built what appears to be a walking bicycle. Evoking the form of an alien robot creature, the bicycle’s rear wheel has been swapped with a metal skeleton comprised of four legs that are moved by the pedals. The structure was made using over 400 handmade parts and took seven months to develop, as per designboom.
