A Look Inside Yu Nagaba & MEET PROJECT’s "I’M YOUR VENUS" Exhibition

A pop-up presentation inspired by the Greek goddess, Venus.

AllRightsReserved’s MEET PROJECT will soon launch an exhibition of original artworks with accompanying merchandise by talented Japanese artist, Yu Nagaba. Titled “I’M YOUR VENUS,” the Hong Kong presentation will feature Nagaba’s minimalist line drawings of human subjects inspired by hip-hop, fashion, and skate culture.

Highlights of the show will include the artist’s first-ever sculpture that portrays a modern version of the Greek goddess Venus clad in a black baseball cap while riding a skateboard, 25 illustrations of various female personas gleaned from pop culture and a series of ACE HOTEL napkin drawings from Nagaba’s travels. When it comes to merchandise and editions, the duo will purvey an 11-inch vinyl figure of the I’M YOUR VENUS sculpture, graphic tees, skate decks, glass mugs, as well as transparent tote bags. Prices range from $275 HKD to $1,560 HKD (approx. $35 USD to $199 USD).

The show will run from December 10-16. Check out the installation views above and then head to AllRightsReserved’s website to view more projects.
