Easy Otabor's New Art Gallery Celebrates Chicago with Michael Jordan-Themed Exhibition
Alongside an early look at the upcoming Retro Air Jordan 11 “Bred.”
Infinite Archives founder Isimeme “Easy” Otabor recently celebrated the opening of his new contemporary art gallery, Anthony Gallery. The gallery’s opening show, titled “Unite Through Culture,” is centered around a partnership with Jordan Brand, featuring an early look at the upcoming Retro Air Jordan 11 “Bred” ahead of its official release date of December 14.
Alongside an installation of Retro Air Jordan 11 “Bred” pairs meticulously positioned in a group with their laces touching the ceiling, art inspired by Michael Jordan lines the walls. Artists Kosuke Kawamura, Corey Black, Matt McCormick, George Bayliss, ADE Makinde, Wu Yue, and Jacob Rochester all have work on display that specifically honors and interprets Michael Jordan’s athletic career in 1996, the year he played in the original Air Jordan 11 “Breds.”
During the gallery’s opening event, special merchandise was available for purchase, with proceeds donated to an arts and athletic program at Otabor’s high school, Hillcrest High School.
