Vhils Creates Two Sculptural Editions for Exclusive Avant Arte Collaboration
Inspired by the artist’s large-scale relief portraits.
Avant Arte now partners up with acclaimed sculptor Alexandre Farto aka Vhils for a new collaborative edition. The sculptural works titled ‘Vista Series #2’ and ‘Vista Series #3’ portray abstract, relief portraits of nameless human subjects. The first piece is sized at 27cm x 23cm x 5.6cm while the second option measures 27cm x 23cm x 6cm. Each signed and numbered edition comes in a wooden frame and limited to 20 units each. Both works were crafted using 3D nylon SLS print.
“The accretion of history in the city is a fundamental inspiration for Alexandre Farto aka Vhils. His enormous mural-esque portraits draw from his own political context and question the relationships between the individual and the globalized world,” said Avant Arte in a statement.
