Sarah Andelman and Mira Mikati Open "HELLO MIAMI" at Art Basel

A design destination with exclusive pieces by The Skateroom, William LaChance, PANGAIA and more.

Ahead of all the festivities for Art Basel and Design Miami 2019, Sarah Andelman‘s Just an Idea and designer Mira Mikati have teamed up to bring a lively destination for art, fashion and design dubbed HELLO MIAMI. Imbuing the spirit of the Magic City, the theme is centered around colorful and fun-filled pieces, with exclusive merchandise by some of today’s most influential brands and artists. Ranging from PANGAIA seaweed fiber tees designed by artist Haroshi to aroma infusers by Bibliotheque Blanche inspired by BE@RBRICKS, the gallery and pop-up shop will include a host of unique gifts and goods. Other collaborations include The Skateroom and Vik Muniz who have joined forces on a skate deck collection that will support the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, while Pharrell also worked with Christofle and Jean Imbert on a limited edition of the MOOD flatware set to celebrate the art of sharing.

Inspired by “the idea of a permanent vacation and the joy that comes with being barefoot in the grass, camping, and picnicking in fresh air,” Mikati will showcase items from her vivid past collections, including an anime-led collaboration with artist MR. Mikati also partnered up with St. Louis-based painter William LaChance to design the floor and backboards of the outdoor space.  Additional wares from CASETiFY, L/Uniform, Superflower, Roxanne Assoulin,  Chinatown Market, Cha Cha Matcha, Amrose and M/M (PARIS) will also be available during the pop-up taking place in Miami’s Design District.
