KRINK Joins Forces with New York City’s MTA on Special Paint Marker Set
An unlikely collaboration between the Big Apple natives.

Graffiti writers have long defaced New York City’s MTA subway cars with their hand tags, throwies, and even “scratchitti” — a term to describe when a writer would use a sharp object to etch their tag on an NYC train car’s bulletproof windows. Those caught in the act, would be hit with a pretty sizable fine of $75 USD as per the New York City Transit. So, it comes as a surprise that the MTA would join forces with graffiti heavyweight KRINK on an all-new collaborative paint marker set.
The MTA x Krink K-42 paint marker set features 10 official MTA Subway colors from the actual train logos. Each marker is filled with alcohol-based paint which the art supplier confirms is “excellent for use on glass, metal, coated paper, and painted surfaces,” as per a press statement.

Elsewhere in art, St. Louis-based artist Lauren Marx will showcase detailed works of flora and fauna at a new Los Angeles exhibition.
