DesignerCon 2019 Exclusive Toys

A number of exclusive toy releases will be available for purchase at this year’s DesignerCon 2019 fair. Medicom Toy will be releasing a Dcon Artist Five Pack (Steven Harrington, Tristan Eaton, Joe Ledbetter, Luke Chueh, KaNO), a ‘Future Mickey’ BE@RBRICK made in collaboration with Hajime Sorayama (100%, 400%, 1000%) as well as an ‘UNREAL’ art statue collaboration with Lauren Tsai and 3DRETRO. Moreover, Matt Gondek will be dropping a new ‘Martian Gondek’ figure with UNRULY INDUSTRIES by SIDESHOW unveiling a ‘Thanos’ figure with a starry makeover to fall in line with the galactic theme. The fair will take place from November 22-24.

Verdy x MEET PROJECT Exclusive Collaboration

AllRightsReserved recently launched its first exhibition under its new art initiative entitled MEET PROJECT. The presentation spotlights Verdy of Girls Don’t Cry alongside a collaborative capsule of goods such as standing lamps and porcelain plates starring the brand owner’s signature ‘Vick Character.’ All items are available exclusively at the MEET VERDY GALLERY in Hong Kong until November 21.

Louis Buhl & Co. Unveils New REVOK Print

Iconic artist REVOK is set to release a new print entitled ‘Loop_Magenta_Umarine_2a’ on Louis Buhl & Co.’s editions platform. The artwork draws inspiration from original pieces observed in the artist’s most recent exhibition, “Depersonalization – Derealization,” which has been developed using handmade spray can machines. “I try to create vibrating energy, a meditation object for internal reflection. As miserable and awful as everything seems, I try to find some comfort in my art. The tools were the initial inspiration, but the works have become something else,” said the artist.
maharishi ‘YEAH OF THE PIG’ Prints

maharishi recently launched a selection of ‘YEAH OF THE PIG’ prints in red, white, and blue variants. The cheeky composition depicts a pig and human hybrid with the likeness of U.S. President Donald Trump. Each piece measures 70 x 50 centimeters and arrives in an edition of 15. The print series follows the British imprint’s “YEAR OF THE PIG” capsule launched earlier this year.
Yorgos Lanthimos x Gucci Cruise 2020 Art Book

Gucci has teamed up with director, photographer, and producer Yorgos Lanthimos on a collaborative art book. Lanthimos was responsible for shooting the brand’s Cruise 2020 lookbook. Titled ‘Ωοτοκι’α (Oviparity)’ and shot at the Leda Gallery of Villa Albani Torlonia in Rome. The book focuses on the Italian house’s Cruise 2020 collection and as well as the contrast between youth and old age. The book will be released in November and distributed by London-based IDEA Books.
