Verdy and his team recently announced that they were canceling all events related to Verdy Harajuku Day due to safety concerns surrounding super-typhoon Hagibis. However, it appears the acclaimed brand owner is moving forward with the festivities. Verdy just kicked off the collaboration-packed installment with Takashi Murakami as the pair unveil partnered original artworks at Tokyo’s BOOKMARC.

Sculptural paintings of Verdy’s rabbitlike mascot and Murakami’s recognizable ‘Mr. DOB’ in various expressions are displayed at the white-walled space. Beside these pieces are framed works on paper portraying the conceptual drawings behind the paintings they are paired with.

View the collaborative showcase above and stay tuned for more updates on all events surrounding Verdy Harajuku Day. The festival is currently taking place until October 14.

Those in Tokyo can also check out Tyrrell Winston’s “The World Is Filled” exhibition at Takashi Murakami’s Hidari Zingaro Gallery.
