Shohei Otomo to Release Limited 'Heisei Mary' Print Edition
Launching this week in a signed and numbered edition of 100.
After announcing the impending release of a new porcelain sculpture, Shohei Otomo now unveils a new limited print edition entitled Heisei Mary.
Sized at 16.53 by 23.39 inches, the highly-detailed artwork portrays a nude female subject completely covered in tattoos. Body ink of varying visuals is observed across the character, including nostalgic cartoons such as Hello Kitty, Pikachu, and Dragon Ball characters to name a few.
Releasing in a signed and numbered edition of 100, each piece is printed on archival Hahnemühle bamboo 290gsm paper with archival ink. Expect an official launch this October 4 on SHDW. Gallery’s website with the prints setting you back $150 AUD (approx. $169 USD) apiece.
