José Parlá's New 'Exile and The Kingdom' Hits Avant Arte Next Month

Fresh off his “TEXTURES OF MEMORY” exhibition in Hong Kong, José Parlá links with Avant Arte to release a special-edition Exile and The Kingdom print.

Measuring 107x64cm, Exile and The Kingdom is an archival pigment print with unique impasto, powdered paint, hand drawing, mono-transfer overlay on white rag paper. Here’s what Avant Arte had to say about Cuban-American abstract artist:

José Parlá’s charged abstraction has a language of its own.  The artist’s physically intense work translates his lived autobiography into grand histories with a remarkable capacity to share universal narratives written in his abstract calligraphic style and woven into the complex textured surfaces of his works.

Limited to just 50, José Parlá’s Exile and The Kingdom retails for $5,457.67 USD and comes with a white frame and 90% UV glass at Avant Arte on November 28, 2019.
