Kobra Showcases New Paintings of His Monumental Murals at GGA Gallery

The artist’s second exhibition at the Miami gallery space this year.

GGA Gallery at the Wynwood Walls in Miami is holding an exhibition by Brazilian street artist and muralist Eduardo Kobra once again. Titled “Larger Than Life Part II,” the 27-piece show will include new paintings of the artist’s past murals, serving as tributes to his large-scale works.

Displaying Kobra’s signature bright colors and kaleidoscopic style, the exhibition includes works featuring notable figures such as Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, Nelson Mandela and Princess Diana. Part of the show will also include his piece ‘Ethnicities,’ which depicts five children from five different continents in order to represent the rich diversity of our globe. Monumental in scale, his works most often carry humanitarian, social and political messages.

Kobra’s show follows the artist’s first-ever solo exhibition, “Kobra: Larger Than Life,” which took place at GGA Gallery earlier this year. As one of the most recognized muralists in the world, with works done in Brazil and across five continents, GGA founders Jessica Goldman Srebnick and Peter Tunney have welcomed Kobra back to the space to showcase his immensely-scaled murals on canvas.

Take a look at some of the works on view at Kobra’s latest exhibition. “Larger Than Life Part II” is open to the public now until October 23.
